Opening Reception: Friday, January 9th from 6:30-8:00 pm In January, you will find the influence of international travels expressed in the work of our exhibiting artists. Felt artist Rachel Nicholson captures the essence of Chinese folk art in her work. On her recent travels to China and Cambodia, she found inspiration in the colors, buildings, and traditional artwork. The clay work of artist Penny Truitt is representative of her recent travels in China as well. Her work explores the old architecture and lush vegetation of the farming communities in the rural Chinese landscape. Sharron Parker also wishes to celebrate her travels abroad in her fiber art. Her work is spontaneous and experimental.
