Opening Reception Friday, November 7th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Our November artists lift our spirits with their passion for the lighter side of life. Artist Don Dudenbostel combines his passion for photography and science in his radiograph images. Using x-ray technology, he is able to capture the inner beauty of plants, shells, and even manmade objects. Cynthia Tollesfrud likes to see the good in life. Her paintings are playful, whimsical, and fun. She starts with an old Victorian photograph, herself, or a model, allowing the individual personality of the painting to emerge through the color, animals, and clothing. Jewelry artist Nancy Fleming uses metal as the language to represent the influence of emotion and spirit upon our lives. Using mixed metals, gemstones, and collected objects, Nancy’s wearable sculptures explore themes of romance, strength, and self-empowerment. Lesley Keeble’s one-of-a-kind art dolls are beautifully detailed figures that captivate one with their eclectic costuming and playful personality.
