Opening Reception: Thursday, June 5 6:30-8:00pm River Gallery Sculpture Garden celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with a bold, indoor/outdoor exhibition of new work by sculptor, Casey Downing, Jr. Using stainless steel, corten, and bronze, Mr. Downing takes familiar shapes and presents them as never before seen by deconstructing them to form his abstract sculpture. With strong digressions on space and form, the sculptures seem at once intense but delicately balanced. The striking presence and smooth fluidity of the sculptures make this exhibition thoroughly enjoyable both inside and out.
