Opening Reception: Friday, February 1 6:30-8:00pm Our February artists let their work speak for them. Mary Cour Burrows sets the scene with her architecturally influenced mixed media pieces often involving text which gives insight into the meaning of the work. Andrew Portwood uses his pastel vocabulary to explain emotions and memories encountered through life. Joan Rasmussen develops her clay characters through her experience with the human condition and attempts to highlight individual personality traits. These artists share a use of figure- whether it is animal or person- to narrate their life ventures. Be it a comedy, drama, or combination of the two, our February exhibit promises to be a different story.
