Opening Reception: Friday, September 7, 6:30-8:00pm Full bodied, colorful works make up River Gallery’s September feature. Mildred Brooks Jarrett, Susan Hutchinson, and Tatiana Hill bring their work together showcasing a powerful set of emotion and color that will both delight and form a connection with their viewers. Mildred Jarrett’s acrylic paintings are multi-layered expressions that offer images of controlled chaos to create harmony and simplicity. Susan Hutchinson’s metal and glasswork is at once both sturdy and delicate. Graceful, thin arms of metal reach around rounded shapes containing colorful scenes in glass. Tatiana Hill’s oil paintings depict ebbing and flowing lakes and mountains, often at a hazy sunset hour like a distant memory. The work of these three women is elegant, charming, and unforgettable.
