Portrait Drawing with Angela Cunningham - Townsend Atelier
Society of Figurative Arts, Atlanta, GA
My efforts began at the age of six with drawing, knowing I ultimately wanted to become an artist. A high-school summer class in drafting at age thirteen, including three additional years of drafting courses, was a definitive point in my future education.
Becoming a professional in 3D CAD, I spent twelve years in mold design, prototyping, surface analyses, creating art works of 3D models, and facilitating virtual thermodynamics and computational-flow dynamics. These years of experiences opened up for me a 3-Dimensional vision and understanding of our natural environment. Since that time I have transitioned into a full-time artist.
Attending live drawing sessions at Townsend Atelier, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s Art department, Roswell Visual Arts Center, and the Portfolio Center in Atlanta haven proven immeasurable to my development.
My artwork has been submitted to the 2015 Art Renewal Center's International Competition and 2015 Portrait Society of America's International Portrait Competition.
Creating artwork which captures the likeness and spirit of a person is my strength. My principle objective is to make original works which merge fine art into our modern-world relevance.
Portrait commissions are accepted as well as commissions of animals and aircraft.
